ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Teen Pregnancy & Prevention Partnership's Major Accomplishments include:

Bringing together diverse interests to create a common dialogue. Teen Pregnancy & Prevention Partnership benefits from a diverse membership representing public and private interests, pro-choice and pro-life viewpoints, urban and suburban organizations, all four St. Louis area health systems and teens themselves. Partnership members have put aside factors of competition and different viewpoints about services and service delivery to pursue common goals related to the reduction of teen pregnancy. |

Collaboration among service providers. To assist service providers in helping families and individuals navigate through the maze of services and information. Teen Pregnancy & Prevention Partnership has developed an invaluable resource directory of services. Membership meetings and other educational activities have provided outstanding networking opportunities for individuals and organizations committed to reducing teen pregnancy. |

Raising the level of awareness of the issue of teen pregnancy. Teen Pregnancy & Prevention Partnership public awareness and education efforts include coordination of three conferences, quarterly in-services for service providers, sponsorship of a nationally exhibited photo display, development of a web site, and the initiation of a scholarship award program for teens who are active in working to prevent teen pregnancy in their community. |

The Partnership applied for and receiving a grant in partnership with the University of Missouri - St. Louis (UMSL) from the State of Missouri Department of Social Services. To expedite the transfer of funds, the Public Policy Research Center at UMSL is the grant recipient. Teen Pregnancy & Prevention Partnership is designated as the contractor to provide the staffing for the project. This grant provided funds to:
