Dear Friends,
Teen Pregnancy and Prevention Partnership will be presenting its annual conference on May 8,2009. The theme, “What’s the Buzz? Evidence-Based Approaches to Teen Sexual Health”, will encompass several different topics related to key issues affecting teens, including adolescent public health issues, media literacy, evidence-based interventions, and community resources.
We would like to invite you and your organization to become a sponsor of this outstanding event. We have already secured sponsorships from organizations such as the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services/Adolescent Health Program and Molina Healthcare. We look forward to hosting approximately 150 conference attendees, and would be most appreciative if you would assist us. To show our thanks to you, TPPP will provide one complimentary exhibitor space and conference registration(s), and will list your organization as a sponsor on all conference literature.
Our 2009 conference promises to be an exciting one, offering a dynamic keynote speaker, Anne Troy, from Louisiana State University. Ms. Troy currently serves as a clinical instructor and assistant professor at the LSU School of Nursing. She will present an interactive and energetic program entitled “Girls NOT Gone Wild”, which explores media influence on adolescent sexual behavior and considers the necessary elements for a paradigm shift as teens deal with the influx of conflicting messages.
Building the knowledge of how best to combat the growing problem of adolescent public health issues and the ongoing issues of teen pregnancy prevention is the main goal of the Teen Pregnancy & Prevention Partnership (TPPP). Since 1997, TPPP has been dedicated to bringing together service providers to organize more coordinated efforts to reduce teen pregnancy in St. Louis and surrounding areas.
The partnership’s volunteer leadership has created a strong coalition of over 50 private and public organizations, agencies, business, and citizens representing public and private interests, pro-choice and pro-life viewpoints, urban and suburban entities, St. Louis area health systems, and teens themselves.
TPPP offers professional development, technical assistance, resources information and networking opportunities to professionals who work with youth. If you are looking to support a worthy cause and the youth of Missouri and neighboring states and reach professionals dedicated to helping youth and their families, then don’t miss this golden opportunity.
We hope that you will agree to be a Leadership Sponsor for this professional development conference on teen health priorities. One of our board members will give you a call to answer any questions you might have about the conference. Thank you for your support and consideration.
Below is a list of sponsorship opportunities for your review as well as an exhibitor registration form for you to complete if you are interested in participating. You may complete it and return it to me electronically, or fax it to the number on the form. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to speaking with you soon to work out further details of your organization’s sponsorship of the 2009 Teen Pregnancy and Prevention Partnership Conference. Thank you again for your consideration.
Sincerely,
