Dear Friends,
Teen Pregnancy and Prevention Partnership will be presenting its annual conference on May
8, 2009. The theme, "What's the Buzz?
Evidence-Based Approaches to Teen Sexual Health", will encompass several different topics related to key issues affecting teens, including
social marketing and media, positive youth
development, contraception in sex ed, eliminating
fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, sexual violence,
and HIV/STI prevention.
Geared towards professionals in the field of teen health and development, participants will gain up to date information and tools on current best practices. We would like you to be a major sponsor for this conference.
Our 2009 conference promises to be an exciting
one, offering a dynamic keynote speaker, Anne
Troy, from Louisiana State
University.
Ms. Troy currently serves as a clinical
instructor and assistant professor at the LSU
School of Nursing.
She will present an interactive and
energetic program entitled “Girls NOT Gone
Wild”, which explores media influence on
adolescent sexual behavior and considers the
necessary elements for a paradigm shift as teens
deal with the influx of conflicting messages.
We would like to invite you and your organization to
become a sponsor of this outstanding event.
We have already secured sponsorships from
organizations such as the Missouri Department of
Health and Senior Services/Adolescent Health Program
and Molina Healthcare.
We look forward to hosting approximately 150
conference attendees, and would be most appreciative
if you would assist us.
To show our thanks to you, TPPP will provide
one complimentary exhibitor space and conference
registration(s), and will list your organization as
a sponsor on all conference literature.
Sincerely,
Kate Barbier
TPPP Conference Committee Chair
